Welcome future Glacier National Park tourists! If you are looking for a great place to stay while at glacier, then I hope I can help you out with your selection. I have mentioned many other establishments that you can stay in while at the park in other posts, but because the park is so vast, I thought that I would list a few more.
The first lodge that we will review on this post is the Whitefish Lodge. This place is not directly in the park, but is not far from it. The whitefish lodge is also close to many other activity sites. If you are a golfing fanatic then you will love the next place that I am about to list. This inn is located near the only thirty-six hole golf course in Montana so get your clubs ready. Located just outside the town of Whitefish, the Grouse Mountain Lodge has all of the comforting accommodations of home with the pristine beauty that only Glacier Park can add.
If you are looking for a more private, secluded visit to the national park, then a Glacier Trailhead Cabin may be exactly what you need. These cabins are located near the east entrance of the park and offer optimal privacy for you and your family. These log cabins look like a great place to simply sit back and enjoy all of the nature and wildlife that there is to offer.
Now that we covered a few more of the lodging options at Glacier it is time to go over a few basic questions that you may have about the park. I asked these same exact questions before planning the trip that my family and I went on in the spring. Oh yea, the spring is a great time to go if you really enjoy seeing some awesome waterfalls. The waterfalls are produced from the caps of the mountains (snow) melting. Its a sight worth a thousands words folks. Anyways, the park is open year around. This is a really good question to ask because it gets nasty in the winter. I thought it would be really neat to go to Glacier National Park during the winter and see all of the snow. I can only imagine what a herd of buffalo would look like with a heap of snow on their backs. However, the only reason that I have yet to travel their in the spring is because I'm a little scared to say the least about all of the ice. Basically, I wouldn't know what to expect. I am sure that there would still be plenty of lodging situations. Although there are bound to be tons of road closings which means that you may be limited to which places in side the park that you go to visit. Anyways, stay posted for more hotel and lodge reviews about the park. Thanks for reading.
I will have some pictures from my trip uploaded soon.
